Pangolin: Kulu's Journey

Pangolin: Kulu's Journey

Beautifully-shot, dramatic story of a pangolin rescue in South Africa. It’s impossible to look away from this fascinating creature, covered in giant scales, as it navigates the wild on its two stubby legs, using its long stringy tongue to slurp up ants and termites for sustenance.

The documentary had strong similarities to My Octopus Teacher. Same over-attached “helicopter parent” who became obsessed with their animal, because they needed their own healing. Same director as well.

Fascinating animal in peril + human in need of purpose + really good footage? The formula works.
